Rajeev Khandelwal has high self-esteem

The Soundtrack actor recently said in an interview that he gets what he wants only because he has always been extremely proud of himself

He studied Chemistry, plunged into the Army and tried various other things, only to become an actor. Playing the role of a DJ in his recent movie Soundtrack, Rajeev has finally struck gold with a string of TV assignments and Bollywood films. When the host of a show asked him how he managed to dream and, most importantly, hold on to the dream of becoming an actor, Rajeev replied, “I have always had very high self esteem. I knew I can’t fail and that showed on my face. And especially in my profession, it is important that it shows.” Taking pride in his conceited behaviour, Rajeev also emphasised how his struggling days made for the most beautiful phase of his life. “It was good because everything in hindsight was so beautiful,” he says. Well, while Rajeev’s vanity is taking him places, we suggest the actor doesn’t go overboard with it. Or else very soon he will sail in the same boat as Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan etc. – it is, after all, mostly the women in B-town who are known for their hoity-toity and la-di-da behaviour.
